Every step of the WIDMA journey is marked by innovation and breaking new ground. It has pioneered the indigenous development of several machines, thereby bringing superior metal cutting solutions within reach of Indian industry. Be it the first deep hole drilling machine, the first valve seat generation machine or even the first CNC 5 axis tool & cutter grinder developed way back in the early 1980s.

WIDMA believes that a well designed machine is half the job done. It has established a special process to ensure that the design meets customer's requirements with minimal iteration.


To achieve this, a fleet of engineering experts first work closely with customer's teams to understand their needs completely. Then an in-house design team works with design softwares and analysis packages to ensure that it is designed right, the first time. The design output is smoothly transited through a dedicated PDM to supply chain, assembly, application & commissioning. All feedbacks are captured,scrutinized closely and, if necessary, changes are incorporated. This close looped process ensures that the design meets & even exceeds customers’ expectations.

Uncompromising Quality

WIDMA has established a well-defined quality assurance system that covers every step of the process, right from supply chain up to final trials and installation. Spindles are carefully assembled in a clean, temperature-controlled atmosphere and individually tested. After assembly, the whole machine is thoroughly tested as per WIDMA standards before trials commence. During trial, actual components are machined, inspected and the results are analyzed statistically to make sure that the machine delivers quality products consistently.
